Being seen as a model has always been a very narrow lens of perception to me. I’m incredibly well versed and have used the platform of modeling as a tool to diversify my cultural palate as a creative and performance artist. Access is instrumental and empowers me to give back to youth, peers and my community via collaboration, consulting, mentoring, and teaching. This propelled me to integrate my skills via Architecture, Marketing, Performance Arts, and Hospitality into founding a company called STYLUR. A creative resource that cultivates business growth through film, content creation, and other production needs. Focusing on inclusive business practices such as, promoting women and minority artists in commercial production work, striving to assist small community businesses in the contemporary economy, and aiming to bring more creative visual content to government agencies to inform citizens on environmental & social awareness.
I am absolutely an exception where I’m from and I feel responsible to utilize my access and privilege to build social bridges where there are gaps. From Baltimore to The Bronx, and all the places I’ve visited near and far, I am a role model. I stand strongly in representing brands with ethical practices and business structures because they are core values rooted in me. The old adage states “A picture is worth a thousand words”, please know that my picture is worth more.
