My name is Berlange Presilus, a fashion model with a purpose and a story; A story people need to hear and see. I have been on a quest to inspire and uplift others through my journey, purpose and deep zest for life. Since birth I was diagnosed with a syndrome called Klippel Trenaunay and for years I allowed it to define who I am as a person.
Klippel Trenaunay Syndrome (KTS) is a rare congenital disorder that affects the development of blood vessels, soft tissues and bones. This disorder has three different characteristics; a red birthmark called port-wine stain, veins malformation which affects the limb, abnormal overgrowth of soft tissues and bones. 1 out of 100,000 people are affected.
This syndrome has set forth a number of obstacles that have caused me trauma, the incapability to live without judgment, struggles, pain and self-insecurities. Especially being told by doctors that I wouldn’t make it past 19 years of age. Many doors have been closed in my face because I am different. Nonetheless, I kept going despite adversities.
Determined to live up to my full potential, I became my own help! I recently started my own
campaign called B-Revealed facing all odds, fighting for inclusion, diversity while raising awareness and I also created the B-Revealed foundation. I am sharing my story with the world, one striking image at a time, showing beauty as I am while giving hope and inspiring people from all walks of life.
I am a spokesmodel for KTS and brand ambassador for Jobst USA and Canada and I’m honored to now also be able to call myself a Role Model.
